Eager to expand his knowledge even further, Malcolm then obtained a Juris Doctor Degree from the renowned IIT Chicago Kent School of Law. His exceptional academic performance earned him a coveted place on the Dean’s list and secured him the esteemed Cali Award in Mediation.

During his impressive 20-year tenure at Pepsi Cola General Bottlers, the predecessor company to Pepsi Americas, Malcolm held several pivotal leadership positions that showcased his strategic acumen. Serving as the Vice President of Public Affairs, a President-Direct Report, and a Member of the Senior Management Committee, he effortlessly managed a wide range of responsibilities. Notably, Malcolm led a highly effective team of four in skillfully representing soft drink interests before the city, state, and federal legislatures and agencies. He also excelled at marketing Pepsi products to government agencies and adeptly handled public relations challenges and product emergencies. In recognition of his invaluable contributions, Malcolm was honored with a prestigious Chairman’s Award.

Before his illustrious tenure at Pepsi, Malcolm honed his expertise as the Director of Energy and Environmental Programs for the Illinois Manufacturers Association. Over five years, he tirelessly championed the interests of manufacturers before the state legislature, local government bodies, and the Illinois Congressional delegation. This invaluable experience instilled in him a deep understanding of governmental processes and policymaking.
